Right now that mostly means travel links — hotels and activities, via Travelpayouts partners such as Klook and Booking.com — and, on some posts, links to books or streaming via Amazon's affiliate program. I'll add others over time.

My rule: I only point to things I'd genuinely use or recommend myself. Affiliate commissions never change what I write, or which side of a story I tell — that would break the one promise this whole site is built on. When something is my opinion, I label it; when it's reporting, I show the Japanese source.
